After her conservatorship was dissolved, Amanda Bynes intends to finish her degree.
In March, a judge in California overturned her conservatorship, and the 36-year-old actress is now completely focused on the next chapter of her life.
Amanda said to E! News that she’s pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, concentrating in Creative Industry Studies with a core in Beauty Marketing and Product Development.
“In June, I’ll be in New York working on a fragrance that will be ready to launch around the holidays.”
Amanda has been in a conservatorship since 2013, when she was diagnosed with drug and mental health issues.
Judge Roger Lund, however, ruled in March that it was no longer necessary.
“She’s done all the court has requested her to do over a lengthy period of time,” he said.
Amanda went on to thank her followers for their continued support in previous years.
The actress, who rose to popularity as a child star, also discussed her long-term goals.
“Following today’s decision by the judge to terminate my conservatorship, I would want to thank my fans for their love and good wishes at this time,” Amanda, who had the support of her parents in her bid to have her conservatorship overturned, said. I’d also like to thank my lawyer and my parents for their unwavering support over the last nine years, which has been very important to me.
“I’ve been working hard for several years to improve my health so that I can live and work freely, and I’ll continue to put my health first in this next chapter.”
“I am very thrilled about my next endeavors, including my fragrance line, and will share more information as soon as I am able.”
