Several things happened before the release of a movie in the Harry Potter universe. Ezra Miller was arrested in Hawaii.
Fantastic Beasts: A Dumbledore Mystery had its world premiere in London.
There were a lot of famous actors there. JK Rowling, the author who had to make up for “transphobic” words and was supposedly shunned by a lot of actors because of them, finally made it to the red carpet.
Despite the fact that the premiere followed all of the norms, with a red carpet and celebrity photo ops, one of the key characters, Ezra Miller, did not attend. Miller, who played Credence Barebone in the movie, had been arrested the day before in Hawaii.
Ezra arrived at a karaoke bar inebriated, assaulted a woman on stage, and then attacked a patron who was playing darts. He was taken into custody and then released on a $500 bond. This isn’t his first brawl while inebriated. He assaulted a pub customer in Reykjavik, Iceland, in 2020. The situation was then hushed up.
The remainder of the cast, on the other hand, did not miss the premiere. Eddie Redmayne, who plays Newt Scamander, wore a perfect black suit with a flower on the lapel. He was with his wife, Hannah Bagshaw, who is also his co-star in the movie.
In the movie, Jude Law, who played Albus Dumbledore when he was young, wore a scarf to go with his light jacket and pants. This was true British style.
Mads Mikkelsen, who took over for Johnny Depp in the role of the evil wizard Grindelwald, was also present at the premiere.
As you may recall, Depp was dismissed when his ex-wife, Amber Heard, accused him of domestic violence. On the other hand, Depp was paid his fee.
Another event that caused a stir was JK Rowling’s attendance. After multiple posts on social media, she was accused of being transphobic. Rowling declared a boycott despite her philanthropic activities and numerous comments that she supports transgender people.
She wasn’t even invited to the New Year’s Eve premiere of the anniversary film dedicated to the “Harry Potter” films. This time, though, she walked the red carpet and looked stunning in a modest blue gown.
Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, was the only member of the “old” cast to attend the premiere. He also served as the ceremony’s master of ceremonies.
Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets will be released in the UK on April 8, 2022, followed by a US release on April 15, 2022.
