On Sunday’s Academy Honors, the film “CODA” took home awards for Best Supporting Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Picture.
Troy Kotsur became the first deaf actor to receive a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for the film.
What is the purpose of CODA?
“Ruby is the lone hearing member of a deaf family from Gloucester, Massachusetts,” according to the film’s synopsis.
She works mornings before school at the age of 17 to help her parents and brother run their fishing company. Ruby finds herself pulled to both her duet partner and her hidden passion for singing after joining her high school’s choral club.”
What is the location of CODA streaming?
CODA is currently only available on Apple TV+, but considering how many awards they’ve received, it seems like a no-brainer to get the streaming service if you don’t already have it.
