Sean “Diddy” Combs says thank you to everyone who has helped him become a legend.
In winning the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 BET Awards on June 26, the “Coming Home” rapper, 52, paid a heartfelt homage to all of his close friends, family, and loved ones.
His mother, Janice Combs, Uptown Records founder Andre Harrell, and his deceased ex-girlfriend Kim Porter, who died in 2018, were all mentioned in his speech.
Diddy stated, “I simply miss Kim, y’all.” We all experience loss and other difficult emotions in this life, but if you stay close to God, he will help you through it. This is not under our control. But I really miss Kim, and I just want to thank her. “
Before agreeing to part ways in 2007, Kim and Diddy had been dating intermittently for 13 years. Up until Kim’s untimely death in November 2018, the amicable ex-couple, who had four children together, remained close.
The founder of Bad Boy Records later acknowledged that he had been “in a dark place for a few years” and thanked everyone who had “lifted me up in prayer” during that trying time.

Diddy remembered seeing dreams as a child and how that motivated him to strive for the top.
He claimed, “I simply closed my eyes and dreamed and I saw what I had to accomplish.” I knew I had to work hard.”
He went on, “Man, I had to get focused.” Because life is so important, I had to get involved.You understand that we aren’t simply here for ourselves; we are also here for our ancestors? “
Following that, the artist shared his “new dream” for the future.
