WASHINGTON – The Washington Nationals scratched outfielder Bryce Harper from Thursday’s lineup with correct knee soreness.

Atlanta reliever Dan Winkler hit Harper barely under one of the best knee inside the seventh inning of the Braves’ Eight-Three victory on Wednesday. Washington supervisor Dave Martinez said X-rays on Harper have been detrimental.

“We thought he was going to be OK,” Martinez said. “He was in the marketplace making an attempt to get unfastened this morning, and easily couldn’t get unfastened. It was pretty swollen.
