Nicole Remy of The Courtship reveals that Daniel Bochicchio called off their engagement
Nicole Remy, the Bachelorette from “The Courtship,” Dishes About Her New Show!
Happily ever after isn’t always as simple as it appears.
The Lady Nicole Remy headed off to a 19th century castle in the first season of USA Network’s regency-themed dating series The Courtship, hoping to fall in love with one of her 16 eligible suitors.
She did indeed tumble. Nicole eventually chose Daniel Bochicchio, who proposed on May 25 at the season finale. Isn’t it true that she said yes and the rest is history?
No, not at all. Nicole confirmed that she and Daniel are no longer together in an exclusive, open interview with E! News.
“He formally broke up with me a little over a month after filming,” Nicole stated. “I was devastated. I had the same sentiments for him on set and after filming, and I wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with him, whereas Danny told me after the program concluded that he had changed his mind about me and no longer felt that I was the one. “
Fans of The Courtship may not be surprised by the news, given Daniel’s reservations about their relationship’s rapid pace—which, in turn, gave Nicole pause heading into their final night on the show—but Nicole claims she was “all-in” on her engagement.
She told E! News, “There was nothing else I wanted.” You must understand, though, that relationships grow considerably more swiftly on a show like this than they would in real life. So, while I was surprised, I was overjoyed when he proposed. I’d always wanted someone to love and spend the rest of my life with from the show, and he offered it to me, so I gladly accepted. “

Following the completion of filming, the pair resumed their relationship in the real world. Nicole met Daniel’s close family in New York, which was one of their first trips.
“We did sightseeing, ate at fantastic restaurants, and went on walks between London and New York,” she remembered. “Luckily, we found a way to negotiate his pescatarian lifestyle and my love for meat.” “This was exactly the life I had envisioned for him: simple, enjoyable, and exciting.”
Nicole, on the other hand, began to admire “how at ease I felt around him.”
“There were other evenings when we laughed harder than any of us had ever laughed,” she continued. “He came to see me in Seattle, where we had dinner with my family, and he also had the honor of being one of the first people to meet and hold my baby nephew, together with me.”
Things took a turn for the worst just as the couple was settling into a pattern, with Nicole returning to New York to spend time with Daniel and his family. “He formally broke up with me a little over a month after filming,” Nicole revealed. “I was devastated.”
“My feelings for him during the show and after filming were always the same, and I wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with him,” Nicole said, “whereas Danny told me after the program concluded that he felt differently about me, and that he no longer felt like I was the one.”
Daniel, for one, told E! News that he had no intention of divorcing his wife. “I had a fantastic time on The Courtship, where I met new people and got to know Nicole, who is a beautiful woman,” he stated. “I was optimistic at the time of the proposal that Nicole and I could make this work in the real world.”
It was never my aim to break up with her or upset her, but after I went home, the reality of modern life caught up with me. I understand this has been a difficult road, and I apologize that it did not finish as we had all wanted. As we both go forward, I wish Nicole nothing but the best; she deserves it. “
The former pair now only communicate “every now and then.” Nicole acknowledged that while she wants to move on some days, she also wants Daniel back in her life “because we did have so many good times, and I want to feel the magic that we once shared.”

Nicole admitted that it’s difficult not to fantasize about what could have been during her time on The Courtship. “I never regretted picking Danny before viewing the show,” she explained. I was head over heels in love with him and knew he was the one. But, after repeating this grief over and over again, I can’t help but wish I could go back in time and do things differently. “
Nicole admitted that Daniel was “the only suitor I was truly in love with” at the conclusion of the day. She has no regrets about following her heart. Even if it is tough for me to comprehend and process at this time, I am where I am for a reason. I’m hoping that my happily ever after is just around the corner, and that I’ll get my fairytale ending someday.
Nicole is still a firm believer in true love. She told E! News that she believes she’ll find someone who means what they say, promises me the world and keeps their word, and makes me feel happy and confident in who I am every day. Unfortunately, I did not find true love at a castle in England, beneath a beautiful sky of fireworks, but I know it wasn’t meant to happen there because it was supposed to happen somewhere else.
Nicole also has a message for anyone who doesn’t believe their prince or princess charming exists.
“Believe me when I say they are,” she said. Be patient, strong, and true to yourself. You are most attractive and desirable when you are unapologetically you, and you must be your own best advocate.
You must first become the heroine or hero of your own life, and then, I guarantee you, your prince or princess will appear in a carriage, ready to accompany you into your fairytale. “
