Euphoria’s star, who turns 25 today, has been nominated for her first Emmy. She is donning a gown designed particularly for the event by Oscar de la Renta.

The column dress was described as a dove-gray, backless, embroidered gown with metal thread embroidery and a bustle train by the design studio on Instagram.

The caption for a photo of Sweeney that she posted on Instagram said, “Emmy’s 2022 thank you for all the lovely birthday cards and what a bizarre day. Love you all so much!” Sweeney was dressed by Molly Dickson.

She had her nails done by Zola Ganzorigt, her hair done by Glen Coco Oropeza, and her makeup done by Melissa Hernandez.

Sydney Sweeney

Sweeney has previously walked the Emmys red carpet, but this is the first time she has been recognized for her own work.

The actress was nominated for not one, but two awards at this year’s event. Sweeney is competing for two Oscars in the category of supporting actress in a limited series or film, one for her portrayal of Cassie on Euphoria and the other for her role as Olivia in The White Lotus.

After learning of his two nominations in July, Sweeney expressed surprise. Fantastic day, indeed! Sweeney told PEOPLE, “I’m happy, I’m in amazement, and I’m beyond thankful.” Sweeney claimed that she learned of the situation while working on a fitting for another position.

Since I’m in pre-production for Madame Webb, I’ve been rushing around today from fits to rehearsals to table readings, she added. My phone started making bomb-like noises as I was driving.

I quickly contacted my mum after seeing it to let her know. Then I dialed my squad, my family, and my brother on the phone. Sincerely, I was just… chilling inside the car.

The actress expressed astonishment after learning that she had received two nominations in a single year, adding that she doesn’t often give awards much thought. I just wasn’t ready to give up yet since there are so many wonderful performers out there, and they all had my support.
