On ‘The Tonight Show,’ Tiffany Haddish Discusses Her DUI Arrest For The First Time.
Tiffany Haddish was arrested in Peachtree City, Georgia earlier this month for allegedly driving under the influence after falling asleep behind the wheel—and she’s speaking out for the first time about it. Tiffany Haddish discussed her recent arrest with Jimmy Fallon, the late-night show’s host, during a recent appearance on ‘The Tonight Show.’
Tiffany Haddish had this to say after Jimmy Fallon asked her if she wanted to talk about the incident:
“I can tell you this, Jimmy… I’ve been praying to God for a new man to come into my life. He is a good dude. And then God sent me four more. In full uniform. And now I’ve found a fantastic lawyer with whom I’m going to hash out the details. I need to work on improving my prayer requests to God!”
She also spoke about her grandmother’s death, which occurred shortly after her break-up with her ex-boyfriend Common.
“After that, my grandmother died, and she saved my life.” That’s how I feel. She felt like a soul match to me. All of this pain has been… extremely difficult to process. I’m absolutely going to do something with it. Grief will be the subject of my upcoming special. And it’ll be hilarious,” she predicted.
Tiffany Haddish was arrested in Fayette County, Georgia, after allegedly nodding off in the driver’s seat, as we previously reported.
Peachtree City police officers responded to a complaint for a driver who had allegedly fallen asleep behind the wheel, and she was arrested. Tiffany’s car was noticed pulling into an area that matched the description of the vehicle in question, according to officers. Cops suspect she had smoked marijuana at the time of her arrest.
