Sasha Banks was unexpectedly released, startling the wrestling world

Reports say that WWE has fired Sasha Banks, almost exactly one month after she left a Monday Night Raw taping.

Sasha Banks has been dismissed from the WWE, according to Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc.

This announcement comes just one day after she and her tag team partner, Naomi, stormed out of a WWE Monday Night Raw taping in May to protest poor booking decisions.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful first refuted this report, claiming to have spoken with WWE Talent Relations this afternoon when Giri first offered him the source and information he had. Sapp was apparently told by Talent Relations that they had no information on the matter.

On the other hand, Sapp ends his tweet by saying that he agrees with Giri and that he has good sources.

Raj Giri, in particular, was among the first to report about CM Punk’s planned appearance in September 2021.

Sasha Banks has the potential to be the hottest free agent in WWE history

Sasha Banks has played a key role in WWE’s transition to a more competitive, modern, and progressive women’s roster. Her NXT clashes with Bayley, as well as her main roster feuds with Charlotte and Becky Lynch, brought “The Women’s Revolution” to a close.

Banks, on the other hand, was not happy with that success. Over the next five years, she continued to carry the women’s division, even becoming the first black woman to co-headline a Wrestlemania with Bianca Belair.

Banks had begun to establish herself as a star outside of the ring, with frequent roles in the Disney Plus original series “The Mandalorian.”

Banks has hinted at her interest in Hollywood on several occasions, and she may choose to stay out of the ring in the future to follow her passion for the big screen.
