Beirut: Saudi Arabia stated on Monday that Lebanon had declared struggle towards it due to what it described as aggression towards the Kingdom by the Iran-backed Lebanese Shi’ite group Hezbollah.
Saudi Gulf affairs minister Thamer al-Sabhan, in an interview with Al-Arabiya TV, stated the Lebanese authorities would “be handled as a authorities declaring struggle on Saudi Arabia”.
Sabhan stated this message had been delivered to the Saudi-allied Lebanese politician Saad al-Hariri, who declared his resignation because the nation’s prime minister on Saturday in a broadcast from Saudi Arabia.
Hezbollah acts of “aggression” on the Kingdom “had been thought-about acts of a declaration of struggle towards Saudi Arabia by Lebanon and by the Lebanese Get together of the Satan”, he added.
