On Sunday, Shaun King’s family appeared to be celebrating some wonderful news! On his Instagram feed, the activist shared a snapshot of his daughter Kendi. Kendi was recently hit by a car while walking, as you may recall.

Shaun King wrote, “Look who’s out and about.” Our daughter Kendi has come back from a near-death experience when she was hit by a car while walking in Manhattan a month ago. Her scar is mending nicely, and we are confident that the traumatic brain damage will not cause her any long-term problems.
Thank you all SO MUCH for their prayers, positive energies, and best wishes. They meant everything to her and our entire family. “I adore you all.”
