New Delhi:  Congress President Sonia Gandhi at present strongly condemned the
terror assault at a mosque in Egypt and stated that the persisting menace of terrorism stays a formidable problem that requires concerted world response.
“The horrific assault is yet one more deeply disturbing manifestation of the evil forces of terror. That the assault passed off at a spot of worship and claimed the lives of a whole lot of harmless worshipers makes this mindless act of violence much more tragic,” Mrs Gandhi stated in a press release.

Terming the phobia assault as an “unacceptable act” of brutal terror towards harmless residents, she stated, “Terrorism is against the law towards humanity for which there can by no means be any justification and such barbaric acts are towards the tenets of each faith.”
Expressing solidarity with the individuals of Egypt, Mrs Gandhi stated, “This cowardly assault is a stark reminder that the persisting menace of terrorism stays a formidable problem that requires a concerted and sustained response from the worldwide group.”
A minimum of 270 individuals have been killed and 300 others injured in a terror assault on a mosque in Egypt’s northern Sinai area on Friday making it one of many deadliest assaults on civilians within the nation.
