Suspicious Package Cleared At White House, Suspect Held

Washington:  A suspect was in custody and a suspicious bundle cleared on Friday after an space of the White Home was closed to the general public, authorities mentioned.
Uniformed US Secret Service officers had responded to “suspicious exercise,” and Lafayette Park and a fence line on the north facet of the White Home remained closed off, the company mentioned on Twitter.
Metropolitan Police spokeswoman Margarita Mikhayloza mentioned by cellphone a suspicious bundle had been cleared.
A Secret Service spokesman didn’t reply to a request for remark.
