'The Girl in the Spider's Web' trailer introduces Claire Foy as Lisbeth Salander

June 7 (UPI) — The Woman within the Spider’s Internet launched an action-packed first trailer Thursday.

The preview introduces British actress Claire Foy as laptop hacker Lisbeth Salander, a task beforehand performed by Noomi Rapace and Rooney Mara. Foy is finest identified for portraying Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown.

The trailer opens with Lisbeth taking revenge on an abusive CEO and husband. Later scenes present Lisbeth dealing with off with a girl from her previous.

The Woman within the Spider’s Internet relies on the fourth novel within the Millennium ebook collection. David Lagercrantz wrote the novel and a sequel, The Woman Who Takes an Eye for an Eye, following authentic creator Stieg Larsson’s dying in 2004.

The primary three books, The Woman with the Dragon Tattoo, The Woman Who Performed with Fireplace and The Woman Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest, have been first tailored as Swedish movies starring Rapace. Mara later starred in an American adapation of the primary novel.

The Woman within the Spider’s Internet is directed by Fede Alvarez and co-stars Sverrir Gudnason, Sylvia Hoeks and Claes Bang. The film opens in theaters Nov. 9.
