Who’s to say Selena Gomez isn’t an accomplished actress?
Yes, she is most known for her role in the Disney Channel sitcom, Wizards of Waverly Place, but she is much more than that.
On The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast on June 13, she noted, “I felt that it was very tough for people to take me seriously.” I eventually got through it, and I’m pleased I did, but it was quite frustrating. You know, I felt like a joke. “

She would not have met her Only Murders in the Building co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin if she hadn’t been an actress, and they have taught her a lot about what she deserves in a companion.
“I just learnt so much from being around two adult gentlemen—because that’s what they are; they’re extremely lovely and kind and hilarious and outrageous at times, and it’s the best,” she said.
