People magazine reported on June 5 that Kate Middleton’s younger sister, 38, is expecting her third child with husband James Matthews, citing multiple sources. They already have a 3-year-old son, Arthur, and a 14-month-old daughter, Grace.
On June 4, Page Six broke the news of Pippa’s pregnancy after the author made a rare public appearance at the Platinum Party in the Park concert outside Buckingham Palace in London that evening, dressed in a smocked green dress. Pippa and her husband are “so happy,” according to a source, and she is a “natural mama,” according to the outlet.
At the concert, Pippa was with Matthews, who is 46 years old, her brother James Middleton, who is 35, and his wife, Alizée Thévenet, as well as her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. The concert was one of many events to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
Kate, 40, was seated separately in a royal box with her husband, Prince William, 39, and their three children, Prince George, 8, and Princess Charlotte, 7, the eldest of their three children. The couple’s 4-year-old son, Prince Louis, did not accompany them.
Pippa became famous in 2011 when she served as Kate’s maid of honor at the duchess’ royal wedding to William in front of millions of people around the world. In 2017, Pippa got married to Matthews. George and Charlotte were their page boys and flower girls.
