Dick Vitale’s First Tweet After Kansas Won The National Title Was Awesome, Baby!

After Kansas won the national championship, Dick Vitale’s first tweet was “Great, baby!”

“Lawrence, Kansas is a party town, USA BABY!” Dick Vitale said after Kansas beat UNC in the national championship game.

Dick Vitale, a Hall of Fame analyst, always comes up with the best way to get his point across.

He did it via a text message on Monday night, after Kansas beat UNC in a stunning comeback to win the national championship.

As the Jayhawks celebrated their victory, Vitale took to Twitter to express his admiration.

For Kansas’ national title, Dick Vitale had the perfect tweet

“A tip of the hat to @KUHoops for a gutty comeback (15 down at half)to win the 2022 @MarchMadnessMBB NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP over an outstanding @UNC_Basketball five . Yes Lawrence , Kansas is party town USA BABY !”

But Vitale didn’t stop there when it came to his take on the comeback. He explained it to his family at home.

“@KUHoops completed the greatest comeback in the history of a National Championship due to CHRISTIAN BRAUN scoring in a 30-10 run after half to give them the lead. Than REMY MARTIN came up big with 2 3’s when @UNC_Basketball regrouped. Finally DAVID McCORMACK with 2 fab plays .”

Kansas began the game with a 9-0 lead, but by the end of the first half, they had dug themselves a big hole. After going several minutes without scoring, they trailed North Carolina 40-25 at halftime.

They came back in the second half, chipping away at the Tar Heels’ lead until a Remy Martin three-pointer with 10 minutes left gave them the lead.

They hung on to that lead until Brady Manek sank a shot with 1:41 left to put them up 69-68. In the end, the Jayhawks came back and scored the last four points of the game to win 72-69.
