Bianca Belair Opens Up On Next Women’s Star From Nxt, Pre-big Match Meal And More

Bianca Belair discusses the next NXT women’s superstar, the pre-big match lunch, and more

Bianca Belair chatted with FanSided about which NXT women’s star could be the next to capture the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships, as well as other topics.

WrestleMania 38 is here, and Bianca Belair will be fighting in a title battle on the greatest show of the year.

On Saturday, April 2, Belair will face Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship on Saturday, April 2, the first night of the two-night event.

She began her professional wrestling career in NXT before contending for championships at WrestleMania.

When I met with Belair, I asked her who she thought would be the next NXT women’s talent to make the main roster and win the Raw or SmackDown Women’s Championships.

Raquel Gonzalez, “Belair stated.” “I was a fan of hers, and we were both in NXT.” When she initially came in, I told her, “I’m a fan of yours, and I like you.”

In the ring, I think she’s fantastic. She’s an incredible talent who performs incredible feats of strength in the ring while dominating; therefore, I believe she’ll be the next big thing.

Gonzalez made her televised in-ring debut as Reina Gonzalez in the inaugural Mae Young Classic in 2017, losing to Nicole Savoy in the first round.

However, she made her official on-screen debut as Raquel Gonzalez at NXT TakeOver Portland in February 2020, assisting Dakota Kai in a street battle against Tegan Nox. Her rise in NXT began from there.

In December 2020, Gonzalez won the NXT Takeover WarGames match for Team Candice LeRae, pinning then-NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai.

Gonzalez and Kai won the first-ever Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic at NXT TakeOver Vengeance Day in February 2021, defeating Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart to become the first-ever NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Gonzalez then defeated Shirai to win the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver in April 2021. She kept the title until the next year’s Halloween Havoc.

On Saturday, April 2 at 1:00 p.m. ET, a reunited Gonzalez and Kai will face Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin and Jayce Jayne) for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships at NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver 2022. It will take place before WrestleMania 38’s Night One.

Bianca Belair discusses her performance at AT & T Stadium

The first night of WrestleMania was held in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., with almost 25,000 fans in attendance for the pandemic’s first live show since it began.

That’s when Belair won the SmackDown Women’s Championship by defeating Sasha Banks in the main event. WrestleMania 38 is predicted to sell out AT & T Stadium, which has a capacity of over 100,000 for a wrestling event.

I asked Belair how she felt about wrestling in a huge football stadium for her second championship match at WrestleMania.

“This will be the largest audience I’ve ever performed in front of, but that comes with the territory,” Belair added. “It’s WrestleMania. You’re on the biggest stage of them all, so it’s only natural.” That’s the way WWE works. We’re huge and we’re global.

I’m going to relish being in AT & T Stadium in front of the WWE Universe, in front of thousands of people. It’s going to be fantastic. I adore the WWE Universe and our followers. I’m hoping that everyone shows up.

Becky Lynch and I will steal the show, and I can’t wait to hoist the Raw Women’s Championship above my head and celebrate with the universe because they are a part of this moment. Since SummerSlam, they’ve been riding with me.

They’ve been on this road with us. So they’ll be a part of my triumph as well when I receive my atonement and come out on top. “

Bianca Belair’s dinner before the crucial match

Belair joined FanSided on behalf of SNICKERS, the WrestleMania presenting partner for the seventh year in a row.

I asked Belair what her go-to pre-match snack or meal was, given the commercials we’ve seen with WWE stars needing to quench their hunger.

“A lot of people don’t believe me when I say this, but I usually eat pizza the night before my big moments,” Belair added.

It’s because I’m scared, and pizza is like a comfort food for me, and it helps me relax. I’m the type of person that doesn’t jump right into working hard when given the chance.

I put in a lot of effort all year, so I’m confident in the work I’ve done in the weeks, days, and months leading up to the event. So a pizza night isn’t going to hurt me.

SNICKERS will return to WWE’s WrestleMania for the eighth year in a row, this time as presenting partners with WWE 2K22. SNICKERS and the WWE have collaborated once again to create some humorous videos starring some of Bianca’s other WWE Superstars, like Otis and Chad Gable, Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss, and Sheamus, that will provide more fun and smiles to WWE fans in the lead up to WrestleMania. The videos depict each superstar as “confused,” “oblivious,” or “unfiltered,” with a gratifying snack as a remedy in each case. The videos will be available on the WWE YouTube page as well as on TV during WrestleMania.
