Britney Spears’ fiancé, Sam Asghari, teases a wedding date.

Britney Spears simply refused to attend the Met Gala in 2022 because she did not want to “go all the way”!

The “Gimme More” singer, 40, said in an Instagram post on May 28 that she skipped the year’s biggest fashion event (held on May 2) in favor of a quiet night in at home with her furry companions.

She wrote in part, “I was going to go to the Met Gala, but instead I jumped in the tub with my dog and put on pajamas.” “I despise flying!”

The singer, who was in a court-ordered conservatorship from 2008 to last November, has never before attended the Met Gala.

Britney also shared a now-deleted video of herself cradling her pet cat and dancing in a red cheetah print costume alongside the message. Why? “I’ve never done it before!” she explained.

Britney recently adopted a cute puppy named Sawyer in February 2022, but she did not specify which of her dogs joined her for her self-care moment. She also has a cat, Porscha; a Doberman named Porscha; a Maltese named Lacey; a Yorkie named Hannah; and a Doberman named Porscha.

The singer of “Circus” has had a rough month. Just one month after Britney announced that she and fiancé Sam Asghari were expecting their first child together, they confirmed that they had miscarried on May 14.

In a joint statement, Britney and Sam said, “It is with our deepest grief that we must report that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy.” “Any parent would be devastated at this moment.”

The couple, who got engaged in September, admitted that they should’ve “waited until we were further along” before announcing their engagement, but that they were “overly happy to share the good news” with everyone once they found out.

“We appreciate all of your help,” they stated. “We respectfully want privacy during this trying time.”
