Cardi B said she was excited about her second album and thanked her fans in response to the announcement. “Amazing… [love Emjoi] can’t wait for my second album. “Thanks for all the love and support,” she continued.
Since its release, the 2018 album has been making history. According to Billboard, the 29-year-old sophomore’s album became the first by a woman rapper to reach “its 200th week on the Billboard 200, the latest in a long series of accomplishments Cardi has achieved over the past five years” last month.
Cardi B also holds the record for the most-streamed female rap album on Spotify, and she was the first female rapper to win a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album in 2019.
According to Billboard, Cardi “has two diamond-certified songs as a lead artist:” Bodak Yellow “and” I Like It “with Bad Bunny and J Balvin, as well as an additional diamond plaque for her appearance on Maroon 5’s mega hit, “Girls Like You.”
