Elias Theodorou, a former UFC fighter and cannabis advocate, has passed away

Elias Theodorou, a former UFC fighter and cannabis supporter, has passed away.Sources claim that Elias Theodorou passed away after a covert cancer struggle.

FanSided won’t go into specifics just yet out of consideration for his family.

Theodorou, a Canadian fighter who competed in the UFC’s middleweight division, had a high of No. 13 at one point.

He left the UFC in 2019 and fought three more times after that for the Prospect Fighting Championships, Rise FC, and Colorado Combat Club. They were all victories.

Theodorou, who served as a male ring card boy for the all-female MMA promotion Invicta, was well-known among fans for his attractive appearance and infamously long hair.

In January 2020, he became the first professional athlete in North America to be granted a cannabis Therapeutic Use Exemption after vigorously advocating for the legalization of cannabis for fighters.

At this time, our sympathies are with Theodorou’s family.
