Honey Boo Boo’s custody is in jeopardy in the Road to Redemption trailer

The Custody Of Honey Boo Boo Hangs In The Balance In Road To Redemption Trailer

Mama June Admits That Losing Weight Didn’t Make Her Problems Go Away

Mama June’s family is on the verge of being torn apart by a custody fight.

Shannon and her daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird are fighting for the future of 16-year-old Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thomson in the trailer for the new season of Mama June: Road to Redemption, which premieres on WE TV on May 13th.

Pumpkin, Alana’s sister, meets with a lawyer. The lawyer confirms Pumpkin’s desire for “sole physical custody” of Alana.

This, as you can expect, does not sit well with June. “Alana is mine,” she says in the teaser, “and I can take her back whenever I want.”

Pumpkin’s decision to pursue custody of Alana weighs heavily on her mind, as she already has a lot on her plate, including “stress from my mother; I’ve got two kids; taking care of my sisters,” as she tells a therapist in the trailer.

Pumpkin and her husband, Joshua Efird, have a 4-year-old daughter, Ella, and an eight-month-old boy, Bentley. Pumpkin has also taken Jessica, Pumpkin’s 25-year-old sister, under her care.

In addition, according to TMZ, Pumpkin is currently pregnant with twins.

The tension between June and Pumpkin reaches a head in the trailer, with June saying, “You better be ready for a fight!”

The trailer also hints at Alana’s new boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, who gets some rough treatment from Joshua.

In the trailer, Joshua tells Dralin, “The only thing I ask is respect and to treat her very, very well.” “If you don’t do it, I’ll just shatter your neck.”

Dralin, best of luck!

Pumpkin’s request for custody of Alana follows months of their mother’s headline-grabbing decisions. “Mama June Funds 24-Year-Old Lover’s Lifestyle with New Cars, Rent, and Bills Totaling Over $50,000,” Pumpkin and Alana read in the teaser, and “Mama June Spotted at Casino After Crack Cocaine Bust.”

Pumpkin comments, “Mama’s bad decisions are finally catching up to her.”
