The second season trailer for Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy has arrived, and it has us looking for flights to Milan.

According to CNN, the Oscar-nominated actor “indulges his passion for Italian cooking as he explores the stories and people behind the world’s most popular cuisine” in the new episodes of the culinary exploration show, which premiere on May 1.

According to CNN, Tucci’s “journey to the bustling food markets, delectable home cooking, and hidden trattorias of the Italian peninsula” is featured in the second season of Searching for Italy. This is a deeply personal, witty, and warm odyssey of gastronomic delights, from the hearty, traditional dishes of Umbria to the unique cuisine of Venice.

But it’s more than just an excuse to eat a lot of delicious Italian food.

On his quest for the elusive white truffle, Tucci also visits Piedmont in northern Italy, according to the network. “Tucci looks into how Italian immigrants have changed the food scene in his new home city of London.”

For the Julie and Julia actresses, food is far more than a pastime. He’s also the author of two cookbooks, including The Tucci Table: Cooking With Family and Friends, published in 2014, which featured traditional Italian recipes with a modern American twist.

He also wrote a book called Taste: My Life Through Food that was published in 2021. It was an instant New York Times best-seller.
