Nick Cannon Defends His Parenting Ahead of the Birth of Baby No. 8

Nick Cannon is following his heart and doing what is best for him and his family.

In an interview with Men’s Health that came out on June 3, the host of “Wild ‘N Out,” who is expecting his first child with model Brie Tiesi and is already expecting his eighth child, defended his unusual family.

“I’ve seen places where people think a traditional home works, but there’s a lot of toxicity in that setting,” he told the publication. “It’s not about what society considers to be correct. It’s as if you’re asking yourself, “What makes it right for you?

” What causes you to be happy? What makes you happy, and how do you define family? “Family is defined in a variety of ways by each of us.”

Cannon, 41, has 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe; 11-month-old twin sons Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with Abby De La Rosa; a daughter Powerful Queen, 17 months; and a son Golden, 5, with Brittany Bell. Zen, his 5-month-old daughter with Alyssa Scott, died in December after succumbing to a rare form of brain cancer.

Cannon revealed to E! News’ Daily Pop last month that he was planning to quit having children.

On May 17, he added, “I already went and got my vasectomy consultation.” “I don’t want to completely populate the globe, but I am looking forward to caring for and loving all of the children that I now have.”

And the presenter of The Masked Singer doesn’t let his busy schedule keep him from seeing his kids. He told Men’s Health that spending time with all of his children is a priority for him, and that he is “probably engaged” more than the “typical adult.”

“If I’m not physically in the same city as my kids, I’m chatting to them over FaceTime and stuff before they leave for school,” he explained.

Then, while I’m [in the same city], I’m driving my kids to school, making sure they’re picked up. All of that, as well as ensuring that I am present for all extracurricular events. Every week, I participate in everything from coaching to guitar lessons with my daughter. “
