A New York pastor is asking on Christians to be a part of him for a day of protest and repentance after the state legalized abortions up to starting.
Pastor Jon Speed, of Syracuse, wishes Christians to strike in direction of “the gruesome infanticide law” that handed last month, Fox News Radio 1310 critiques.
The Day of Mourning is slated for this Saturday, Feb. 23. Organizers are encouraging Christian enterprise homeowners to shut their outlets, and all Christians to placed on black, refuse to retailer and spend time in prayer and repentance for the nationwide sin of abortion.
Speed led by occasion in January when he closed his e-book retailer, The Book Scout, in protest of the pro-abortion laws. His straightforward protest gained nationwide consideration, and the enthusiastic response impressed him to do additional.
“Others said we want to do the same sort of thing,” Speed instructed 1310 KLIX. “We’re calling for Christians to shut their stores down, and not shop on that day, wear black, really approach it as a day of mourning, a day to repent and pray and seek God’s mercy on our nation for this terrible slaughter of innocent babies.”
He instructed The Christian Post that the considered shutting down enterprise for the day is to not collect product sales tax for the state. It is just one of some methods people can take a stand in direction of abortion, he talked about.
The protest will embody a rally at 1 p.m. on the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany shut to the place Gov. Andrew Cuomo and pro-abortion lawmakers handed and celebrated the pro-abortion laws.
The New York laws permits unborn infants to be aborted for principally any trigger up to starting. It repeals protections for pregnant victims of violence, and prohibits the state from enacting even minor, widespread sense abortion restrictions.

“We had a volunteer here going through the voicemails and she finally said I can’t listen to it anymore.
