Dwts’ Peta Murgatroyd Begs Fans To Pray For Maksim Chmerkovskiy While He Is In Ukraine

Peta Murgatroyd of Dancing With The Stars asks followers to pray for Maksim Chmerkovskiy while he is in Ukraine.

While her spouse Maksim Chmerkovskiy is in Ukraine, Peta Murgatroyd has asked followers to “pray” for him.

In the midst of the Russian invasion, the 42-year-old dancer is filming in his own country, and his fellow ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro took to Instagram to encourage followers to “hope” that he “comes home soon.”

“Please pray for my husband Maks,” she added. I don’t generally ask these questions of my social media network, but today is very difficult, and the following few days will be even more difficult. My anguish is unbearable, and I’m struggling, but sending him your positive energy and love would mean the world to me.

I honestly don’t have any other wishes. Many of you are asking for information, and while I don’t have them, he is currently safe. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he prepares to return home. Please pray for a quick and safe evacuation for him.”

On Thursday (24.02.2022), Russian President Vladimir Putin launched an invasion of Ukraine, with many strikes being launched around the country, and Maksim had taken to Instagram to report from the capital city of Kyiv.

The actor, who has a five-year-old son Shai with Peta, confessed that he was “extremely afraid” in a video that showed a passing army truck with sirens.

“This is the fact,” he remarked. I’m in Kyiv, contrary to what I probably should’ve done a long time ago, and while no one saw this coming, everyone was expecting that the issue would be averted, that such aggressive steps would not be taken.

I’d like to return to my homeland [the United States]. And I realize I have a way to — I realize I have a different passport, and my family is thousands of miles away. I’m nervous, and I’m terrified… but I know I have a shot at the very least. I have a passport and a plan to get out of this situation. Many people here don’t, and it’s complete rubbish.”
