Post Malone Talks About How His Fiancée Supported Him During A “Rough” Alcoholic Period

The 26-year-old opened up about his past troubles with drinking while promoting his new album, Twelve Carat Toothache, calling himself “responsible now.”

On June 12, he said on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, “It got to a pretty terrible stage, and I couldn’t get up off the floor for weeks.” It was screwdrivers, vodka, and bodying fifths while trying to stay alive and converse with people who weren’t f—king there.

Despite receiving “so much instruction” from friends such as Justin Bieber, Malone stated he felt “stuck in” his own world, with the detrimental mindset of “I have to do what I want to do and that’s what I’m going to do.”

The artist eventually recognized he needed to “do a lot less talking and a lot more listening” and began practicing being more open to suggestions from others, particularly his fiancée, who he credits with guiding him through his difficult time.

He added about his fiancée, “I met a truly beautiful individual who made me feel like a human being again.” It’s the light that leads you out of the darkness. It’s pretty incredible how she saved my f—king life.

Malone’s future is now bright and obvious.

In an honest interview with Howard Stern and Robin Quivers, the “Sunflower” rapper disclosed that he and his fiancée, whose identity he has kept confidential, recently welcomed a baby girl.

While he admitted that he is still “learning,” Malone stated that he simply “wants to be better every f—king day” in the future.

“All we can do is don’t be a jerk. That’s the golden rule,” he continued.

Malone’s admissions come only a month after his publicist told E! News that he was expecting his first kid.

In a statement to E! News in May, he said, “I’m excited for this next chapter in my life; I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and I’ve been sad for as long as I can remember.” “It’s time to look after my body, as well as my family and friends, and to distribute as much love as we can every day.”
