Quinta Brunson Receives Flowers From Donald Glover For Creating ‘Abbott Elementary’

Donald Glover Gives Quinta Brunson Her Flowers For Creating ‘abbott Elementary’

There are few pleasures as satisfying as knowing that your community believes in you and values your work.

Quinta Brunson was recently able to revel in Donald Glover’s support and admiration after receiving flowers from him. Quinta’s recently launched show, ‘Abbott Elementary,’ received those “flowers” in the form of compliments.

During the 30-minute part, Quinta remarked, “…I felt like we were doing something good.” “Everyone thought we were doing a good job. That, I believe, is special.”

Quinta’s comments were echoed in a dialogue featured in the season five premiere of ‘The Shop.’ The series premiere was presented by Paul Rivera, Maverick Carter, and LeBron James.

In the March 4 debut, audiences heard from artist J Balvin and NFL player Lamar Jackson in addition to Donald, Quinta, and the hosts.

Following the 22-minute mark, Donald and Quinta both shared their own perspective on creating art before attempting to address difficulties. As a result, Donald informed Quinta about his ‘Abbott Elementary’ fandom!

“I was very envious of that show when I was watching it,” Donald stated.

“Donald no, I’m jealous of you every day,” Quinta interjected.

“But,” Donald answered, “that’s what I’m saying, in a nice sense, that’s how I knew it was excellent.” “Every now and then, I’ll watch something that’s really wonderful, but I’m like, sure, I wouldn’t do that.”

I felt envious while watching because I thought, “This is a terrific program.” And doing it on network television is difficult. Doing it on a big platform like that and not pulling punches and knowing yourself well enough to get it through, that’s pretty difficult.”

Quinta Brunson: Who Is She?

Quinta has made waves in the television world with his role in ‘Abbott Elementary.’ According to Deadline in late February, the show’s second episode on January 4 drew nine million viewers on ABC. The episode was the network’s “strongest comedy telecast of new or returning series in nearly two years” among the 18-49 demographic.

Her popular ‘Ohhh, he got money’ video sketch turned meme was the comedian’s first taste of internet fame. Her book, ‘She Memes Well,’ was published as a result of that experience.

Quinta is now the creator and writer of a television show that is barely halfway through its first season and is already a smash hit. Quinta also has her own sitcom, Ms. Janine Teagues, in which she plays a teacher.

Quinta made sure to highlight other Black-led television series that were paving the way after Donald’s remarks!

“It’s difficult, but what you’ve done with ‘Atlanta,’ what Issa has done with ‘Insecure,’ what even lesser programs like ‘Flatbush Misdemeanors,’ those things all correlate to finally putting all the puzzle pieces together,” Quinta added.
