She was victorious! Jazmine Sullivan Wins GRAMMY Awards for the First Time!

She Won! Jazmine Sullivan Finally Wins Long Overdue Grammy Awards!

You’d think that because Jazmine Sullivan is one of the top R & B musicians in the game, she’d have a slew of GRAMMY awards, but you’d be wrong… until now.

Jazmine Sullivan finally won not one, but two GRAMMY awards for her outstanding album, “Heaux Tales,” after several nominations and losses.

It had been a long, arduous trip, but R&B queen Jazmine Sullivan finally received her GRAMMY moment after 15 losses. She won her first and second prizes during the presentation thanks to her chart-topping and critically praised album, “Heaux Tales.”

Jazmine’s wins for Best R&B Album and Best R&B Performance (where she tied with numerous winners, Silk Sonic) were the perfect cap to an amazing musical career.

Her admirers were instantly sure that her record was Grammy material when it was first released early last year… and based on what happened at tonight’s event, they were correct.

Jazmine Sullivan gave an emotional shout-out to black women during her acceptance speech for Best R&B Album.

“I believe I created this project to deal with my own shame and unforgiveness about some of the less-than-favorable actions I took in my twenties.”

And again, thank you. But it ultimately became a safe platform for black women to share their stories. To learn from one another, to laugh with one another, and to avoid being used at the same time.

And it is for this that I am most grateful. So here’s to all the black women out there who are simply living their lives and being beautiful. I adore all of you.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the creation of “Heaux Tales,” including the producers, additional writers, RCA and Sony Music, my management, my mother and father, whom I adore and can’t wait to see, my friends and family, everyone in Philly, my fans, my partner, and everyone else.

Thank you so much; I really appreciate it. ” We’d like to congratulate Jazmine Sullivan on all of her #BlackGirlMagic!
