The Yankees’ slugger is being pursued by the Giants and three other prominent teams

The New York Yankees and Aaron Judge are still at odds over a possible contract deal. But which teams pose the greatest threat to him leaving New York?

Before the season, the Yankees offered Judge a seven-year extension at $213.5 million, and while it seemed like a good deal at the time, Judge has already slugged his way into $300 million territory if the offseason were to begin today.

So, which teams are the most likely to swoop in and snag Judge from the Yankees?

The San Francisco Giants, according to Jon Heyman, are the greatest contenders to sign Judge this offseason. The Judge is from Linden, California; thus, it would be a homecoming signing for him.

“The Yankees are probably correct in seeing the Giants as the most logical threat,” says Heyman.

Two additional threats to the Yankees, according to Aaron Judge rumors

The New York Mets, in addition to the Giants, are a potential danger to the Yankees’ dominance in Judge contract negotiations. The Queens squad has not been afraid to go big in free agency under Steve Cohen. That’s exactly what signing Judge and stunning fellow New York baseball fans would do.

It would also bring in a huge bat to a team that already has a fantastic starting rotation with Jacob deGrom, Max Scherzer, and others.

Look no further than the Blue Jays or even the Angels, in addition to the Mets. Toronto’s window is now open, and residents aren’t scared to spend. A roster that includes Judge and Vlad Jr. is terrifying.

Meanwhile, with Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani in the lineup, the Angels could make the same hometown pitch as the Giants and have a strong desire to win.
