3 Reasons The Brooklyn Nets Can Still Make A Playoff Run

The Brooklyn Nets are preparing for the play-in tournament, but their season has the potential to go far beyond that.

The Brooklyn Nets have had a rocky start to the season. Because of New York’s vaccine mandate, Kyrie Irving has missed a number of games, while the Nets have had to play some games without Kevin Durant due to injury. Despite this, the Nets made it to the play-in tournament and have a chance to go far in the playoffs.

It’s true that offense wins games, but defense wins championships. The Nets, on the other hand, place a premium on offense. Irving and Durant, two of the best offensive players in the game, play for the Nets. This season, Durant is averaging 29.5 points per game, while Irving is averaging 27.1 points per game.

Both Durant and Irving have demonstrated that they can handle big circumstances throughout their careers, and fans can expect nothing less from them in the playoffs. Irving may finally play home games after Mayor Eric Adams lifted the vaccine restriction.

He’ll be expected to relieve some of Durant’s offensive responsibilities. Seth Curry, who was acquired from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for James Harden, can also help the Nets make shots.

In his brief time with the Nets, Curry is averaging 15.1 points per game and has had a couple of high-scoring games. On nights when Durant or Irving aren’t at their best, he can supply much-needed scoring.

Curry is now injured, although it is unlikely that he will miss the rest of the season.
