Todd Gurley, a former Rams running back, appears to be ready to hang up his cleats

Todd Gurley appears to be completely at ease with the idea of calling his football career a success.

Todd Gurley appears to be content with his brief but brilliant NFL career coming to an end after he did not play at all last season.

From 2012 to 2014, Gurley made his name as a star running back for the Georgia Bulldogs. Gurley continued to dazzle in a loaded Georgia backfield after a 1,300-yard season as a true freshman in 2012. But a four-game suspension and a terrible knee injury against Auburn in 2014 changed the course of his professional career.

Though his draft stock did not suffer as a result of the injury, as he was selected No. 10 overall by the then-St. Louis Rams, the knee remained a major concern throughout his early to mid-twenties. With the Los Angeles Rams, Gurley was a three-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro. After the 2018 season, he was unfortunately relegated to the back of the pack. He returned to the Rams for one more season before joining the Atlanta Falcons in 2020.

Meanwhile, the soon-to-be 28-year-old appears to be in good spirits about the end of his career.

If this is truly the end for him, congratulations on everything he has accomplished both academically and professionally!

Todd Gurley appears to be at ease with the fact that his playing career is coming to an end.

While it’s possible he’ll return to the field in the future, he told NBCLX.com last week that “there was never one time where I watched a game and thought, ‘I wish I was out there.'” I enjoyed my time in the league and accomplished things I could never have imagined. ” For the time being, he is an owner in the Fan Controlled Football league and is having the time of his life.

Gurley was a top-tier player in the NFL at his peak. In 2017, he was named the Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year, finishing second in MVP voting to former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Gurley was instrumental in getting the Rams back to the Super Bowl in 2018. Many of the Rams’ core players went on to win the Super Bowl four years later with the Los Angeles Rams.

Gurley should be proud of his NFL career, which included over 6,000 rushing yards and 67 rushing touchdowns. In such a short period of time, he accomplished more than most players could ever hope for. Gurley can relax, knowing that he will always be a goodwill ambassador for his alma mater and the NFL team for which he is best known. However, we will all speculate on what might have been…

When talking about Gurley’s greatness, the knee will always come up.
