‘With deep grief, we must inform you of the death of our sister, Traci.’ She was a brilliant light, a lovely daughter, a wonderful sister, a loving mother, wife, grandma, and a respected performer, to name a few. ‘We will miss her terribly,’ she said at the start of her statement.
‘Traci departed this morning as the snow was falling; our angel is now a snowflake,’ she concluded. We respectfully request that you respect our privacy as we prepare to send her home with love, honoring her life. We will always be family. She wrote, ‘Love, The Braxton Family.’
‘Towanda,’ someone said. During this tough moment, my heart goes out to you and your family. Traci was such a lovely person, and I’m grateful that I had the chance to meet her and call her a friend.

We’d be on the phone for hours at a time, all of us. A fantastic daughter, a badass sister, a fantastic mother, and a fantastic grandmother (Bubbie). A ROCK STAR!! When a call ended, we never missed a beat in expressing “I love you.”
This morning, a hummingbird landed on my front porch, and all I could do was smile, knowing it was you, saying, ‘Good morning, Umba.’ My heart is broken, but now you are in God’s arms. Traci, I’ll always love you.’
‘This is really terrible, because Traci was so hilarious and adored,’ someone person said. I’m praying for you all since I recently lost a sister and I don’t know what to say.
Take each moment and remember the good moments till you meet again. *That was definitely her wishing you a good morning.’
