While celebrating their victory against the Broncos, former Seahawks make fun of Russell Wilson

Former Seahawks took pleasure in their team’s revenge triumph over Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos by making sarcastic memes about the quarterback.

Russell Wilson will face his former team in Seattle for the inaugural game of this season’s Monday Night Football, a matchup that the NFL simply could not pass up.

When Wilson and the Broncos fell, 17-16, former Seahawks couldn’t resist the opportunity to throw all the shade.

Richard Sherman and Doug Baldwin sent out tweets that appeared to target Wilson in particular almost immediately after Denver’s effort to score the game-winning goal was unsuccessful.

Over the years, it has become very obvious that Sherman dislikes his former teammate. Throughout Wilson’s eight-year NFL tenure with the Seahawks, Baldwin received passes from him, helping them win Super Bowl XLVIII alongside Sherman. He was also having fun.

Shelby Harris, a former Bronco who was traded to Seattle in the Wilson trade, was the only player who might have brought more snark to the table than the former Seahawks.

It’s not difficult to see why this win would be particularly meaningful to Harris.

Following years of contention with the Seahawks’ management, Wilson sought for a trade to Denver. The grass may have simply appeared greener on the other side, but he eventually got what he wanted.

Before the Broncos can compete for something greater than Wilson was able to do in Seattle, it appears that they still have a ways to go.

With 340 yards and one touchdown on 29 of 42 passes, the quarterback was successful.

Geno Smith guided the Seahawks to a 17-13 lead at the half, then he stood by as his team managed to hold onto their small advantage.

He completed 23 of his 28 passes for 195 yards while scoring two touchdowns and throwing no interceptions.
