Devin Booker dapped up a baby after nailing a buzzer-beater

After making a buzzer-beating jumper in the first quarter, Devin Booker dapped up a baby during Game 2 against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Phoenix Suns entered Tuesday night, April 19, seeking to extend their series lead against the New Orleans Pelicans to 2-0 with a Game 2 victory. At the end of the first quarter, star Devin Booker became viral on social media.

With the game deadlocked at 28 points apiece, Booker made a tremendous buzzer-beating shot to give Phoenix a 30-28 lead into the second quarter. As Booker was sitting on the floor, he turned to his left and picked up a baby sitting at court-side.

The Pelicans were giving it their all attempting to stay pace with the Suns, but Booker was further padding Phoenix’s lead. At the end of the first half, Booker had reached 31 points while shooting 7-for-10 from behind the three-point line.

The Suns finished the regular season with a league-best 64-18 record. They want to get back to the NBA Finals to capture their first Larry O’Brien trophy in franchise history.

The Suns came just short of that goal last season, when they seized a 2-0 series lead against the Milwaukee Bucks, but lost the next four games of the Finals.

Booker had himself a tremendous first half. He blasted 31 points, struck a buzzer-beater in the first quarter and dapped up a newborn.
