On Saturday, Duke and Villanova clinched their places in the Final Four. The remaining Elite Eight games for Sunday, March 27 are listed below.
Following this Saturday, March 26, the field for the 2022 Final Four is nearly complete.
The No. 2 Villanova Wildcats won the South Regional Final, defeating the No. 5 Houston Cougars 50-44, to advance to the Elite Eight.
After defeating the fourth-seeded Arkansas Razorbacks 78-69, the second-seeded Duke Blue Devils qualified for the Final Four out of the West Region. This means that head coach Mike Krzyzewski’s reign as head coach will be even longer.
The Elite Eight is now down to two games, which will be played on Sunday, March 27. The times and locations for each game are listed below.
No. 1 Kansas vs. No. 10 Miami — 2:20 p.m. ET — CBS
No. 8 UNC vs. No. 15 Saint Peter’s — 5:05 p.m. ET — CBS
In the Final Four, Villanova will face the winner of the Kansas-Miami game.
The Jayhawks are coming off a 66-61 victory in the Sweet 16 over the No. 4 Providence Friars. The Hurricanes defeated the No. 11 Iowa State Cyclones 70-56 to advance to the Elite Eight for the first time in program history.
Duke, on the other hand, will find out whether they will face their bitter rivals from North Carolina or the Cinderella team from Saint Peter’s.
The Tar Heels faced off against the UCLA Bruins, who were seeded fourth and won 73-66. Meanwhile, the Peacocks continued their NCAA Tournament run by defeating the No. 3 Purdue Boilermakers 67-64. As a result, Saint Peter’s became the first No. 15 seed in NCAA Tournament history to reach the Elite Eight.
