Will Smith and Chris Rock were beaten by Brendan Smith and Tom Wilson in an on-ice brawl

During Monday night’s Washington Capitals-Carolina Hurricanes game, Tom Wilson and Brendan Smith exchanged punches.

The Washington Capitals’ two-game winning streak came to an end on Monday night thanks to the Carolina Hurricanes. The Hurricanes entered Capital One Arena with a 6-1 lead and left with a 6-1 victory.

Late in the game, though, Capitals enforcer Tom Wilson and Hurricanes defenseman Brendan Smith exchanged punches. Take a peek at the results to see who won.

During the Hurricanes-Capitals game, Brendan Smith and Tom Wilson exchanged gloves.

Smith broke his skull while attempting to block a shot against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Feb. 20, according to the commentators in the above video.

According to the team’s public relations Twitter account, he was taken to a local hospital for evaluation before being discharged.

Smith returned from his injury during the team’s March 17 game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, after missing nearly a month.

Martin Necas, who scored two goals and added an assist in the game on Monday night, led the squad with two goals and an assist. Carolina’s other four goals were scored by Derek Stepan, Sebastian Aho, Brett Pesce, and Brady Skjei.

Wilson scored the game’s lone goal for Washington.
