After learning about the baby with Maralee, Tristan Thompson reportedly said he was ‘engaged’ to Khloe.
Tristan Thompson allegedly told Maralee Nichols that he was ‘engaged’ to Khloe Kardashian and that they would marry shortly’ when she was pregnant.
Tristan Thompson’s paternity mystery has resurfaced in the media. Tristan’s third child’s mother, Maralee Nichols, filed court paperwork on March 4 that was obtained by Us Weekly and include purported Snapchat chats between the two.
The chats, which are said to be from April 2021, show the NBA star, 30, and Maralee, 31, talking about her pregnancy. At the time of his adultery, Tristan allegedly told Maralee that he was engaged to Khloe Kardashian, 37.

“You just informed me you’re engaged and trying to spend time with your family… In one communication, Maralee apparently said, “I didn’t even realize you were engaged.” “You have a history of treating me badly, and this entire issue has been disturbing.”
“I’m engaged, but I’ll be married shortly,” Tristan replied a few days later. I told you I wouldn’t and couldn’t be involved in a child’s life in any way. Why don’t you wait till you find the appropriate partner with whom to start a family? Why would you desire a child with an engaged man? You want to maintain a blunder.”
Tristan reportedly spent $2 million on an engagement ring for Khloe, with whom he shares 3-year-old True Thompson, according to Maralee’s court documents. In May 2021, the NBA player allegedly told Maralee — who became pregnant two months after sleeping with Tristan — more about his future plans with Khloe.
Tristan reportedly stated in the Snapchat messages, “Just a heads up me and my fiancè [sic] going to reveal publically about out [sic] marriage.”
“I just wanted to give you a heads up. We will most likely leave the nation in September and relocate to Europe or the Caribbean. Better living conditions for us and our family away from America’s bs,” he added.
Maralee claimed in December that Tristan had fathered a kid with her, and a paternity test in January confirmed that he was the father.
Maralee has accused Tristan of doing “nothing to assist” their baby Theo, who was born in December. In a statement to HollywoodLife in February 2022, a spokesman for Maralee said, “He has not made any attempt to meet their son nor has he provided any financial help.”
At the time of his current cheating allegation, Tristan and Khloe were dating. Following the paternity test findings, he apologized publicly to Khloe, saying she “does not deserve the sorrow and disgrace I have given you.”
In a recent interview with Variety, Khloe finally spoke up about the matter, confirming that the conflict with Tristan will be featured on the upcoming Kardashians reality program on Hulu.
She told Variety, “I hope I never had to talk about that because it’s not a good thing to talk about.” “However, it is a part of my life path, therefore we will see it on the show.”
