Christian Pulisic had a fantastic opportunity to put Chelsea FC ahead early in the Carabao Cup Final, but he failed to score.
Christian Pulisic may have nightmares for a while if Chelsea fails to beat Liverpool in the Carabao Cup Final. Pulisic had a wonderful opportunity to put the Blues up early in the title match on Sunday at Wembley Stadium.
The American’s attempt, though, was blocked by Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. Pulisic should have been able to take advantage of the situation with ease, but he couldn’t.

Mason Mount also had a chance to put Chelsea up a lead, but he squandered his opportunity. Chelsea fans are enraged, and they’re praying that these missed opportunities won’t come back to bother them later in the game.

People aren’t satisfied with Pulisic’s effort in that area, as you can see from the tweets above. He only had to tap it in, but his effort was intercepted by the LFC goalkeeper. Chelsea cannot afford to squander such opportunities because Liverpool is simply too excellent.
Edouard Mendy’s incredible double save was the only reason this game was even 0-0 at halftime. The more pressure the Reds apply to Chelsea’s defense, the more self-assurance their offensive unit gains.
If Pulisic and Mount find themselves in front of the goal, they must simply improve and drill their next shots into the net. Otherwise, Liverpool will be the ones to hoist the trophy into the skies after the final whistle.
