How Katie Maloney Reacts to Tom Schwartz’s Divorce in Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules
The impending tenth season of Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules is guaranteed to feature a lot of discussion about Katie Maloney’s divorce from ex-husband Tom Schwartz. What about Maloney’s intended approach to it on screen? She said she’s just going to tell it like it is on the You’re Gonna Love Me podcast episode from July 8.
She remarked, “I feel like Tom and I have always been very, very open about our relationship on the show—the good and the terrible.” It’s also never simple. I’m not excited about broadcasting it. However, I’d rather be truthful than attempt to cover up, distort, or otherwise present the situation. “
In March 2022, after 12 years of marriage, the two decided to call it quits. A week later, Maloney formally filed for divorce.
When discussing the breakup, the reality star claimed she “had to be where I am today” and that she “can’t go back to where I was six months ago.”
The 35-year-old continued, “I’ve done a lot of grieving, mourning, and healing. I can’t pick at those wounds and force myself to keep going back to places I don’t want to go back to when I’ve come so far.
Maloney has made significant progress on her post-divorce healing journey, including leaving the house that she and Schwartz shared. She mentioned on the show that she had moved into a new apartment not too far from her previous residence after saying goodbye to the house in a tearful Instagram post on June 9.
She said in jest that she may have wanted a divorce, but she didn’t necessarily want to have to move. However, we obviously had to. But I still adore the neighborhood where we reside. So, I currently reside in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom home, and I adore it.
