Mike Mora, Kelis’s husband, died at the age of 37 after a battle with stomach cancer

We regret to inform you that Kelis’ husband, Mike Mora, has passed away. Mike, who was suffering from stage 4 stomach cancer, passed away on Sunday.

Kelis’ management agency confirmed rumors of his death in a statement to Entertainment Tonight.

“Unfortunately, Mike Mora has died away. As of right now, we ask that everyone respect Kelis and her family’s privacy. “I appreciate it,” Steve Satterhwaite told ET.

Mike’s unexpected death was announced on Instagram, with some of his closest friends posting condolences in his honor.

“We lost a brother yesterday,” Evan Ross said in a heartfelt tribute recalling their time together over the years. Mike, you are sorely missed. “Reminiscing about some of the wonderful experiences we all had together.”

“At @dallasaustins studio in Atlanta, you and @naztokio recorded me. It was the first time I had ever actually recorded a song in a studio. You made it seem simple and secure.

Everything I’ve seen you do, I’ve seen you do. Was created with zeal. I enjoyed reconnecting with you once more. Hearing about your children and the life you and your wife have created is very inspiring. I’m extending my heartfelt condolences and prayers to your family brother.”

Kelis and her husband Mike Mora confirmed he was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer during an interview with People in October 2021, as previously reported.

Mora claimed physicians gave him 18 months to live when he was diagnosed, and he waited 12 months before revealing his condition to the world.

Kelis had given birth to their youngest daughter 17 days before his diagnosis, which was unfortunate.

Mike claimed that he went to the clinic after experiencing severe stomach pain and had no idea he would be diagnosed with cancer.

“I was convinced I had an ulcer the entire time.” “I had no idea what was about to happen to me,” he explained. “Here I was, in the midst of the pandemic, in a hospital bed.” “I’m on my own.”

During this difficult time, please keep Kelis and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
