In the wake of reports that “The Real” will be canceled, Loni Love speaks out: “We’ll finish Season 8 and wait for official word,” says the narrator.
As the daytime television landscape continues to shift, current rumours say that the chat show “The Real” will be the next show to be axed. Loni Love has now spoken out about the matter.
“It’s been a crazy few days but I got a call from the studio… no official decision has been made concerning #TheReal,” Loni tweeted on Sunday.
I’ll be fine, but please spare a thought for the 150 crew members who may be affected… We’ll finish Season 8 and then see what the official word is.”
Loni then proceeded to reveal the list of guests who will be appearing on “The Real” this week.
The show’s host lineup has changed several times over the years. Loni, Adrienne Bailon, and Jeannie Mai have remained hosts throughout all seasons.
Following the departure of Tamar Braxton, one of the show’s original co-hosts, the ladies were joined by Amanda Seales. Tamera Mowry, who was also an initial host, quit the show after Amanda’s departure. Garcelle Beauvais, an actress, joins the show as a co-host in 2020.
The possibility of the show being canceled comes on the heels of Nick Cannon’s six-month-long talk show being canceled.
“It’s intriguing,” Nick stated in response to the cancellation, as previously reported. This is show business, and ‘business’ is the most important term. I get up bright and early every day to put on a show for you, and I’m also a businessman.”
“This has been a dream come true,” he also told to his audience. I want to grow and improve. We’re not going anywhere, but I’d like to expand my audience.”
As more information regarding “The Real” becomes available, we’ll keep you posted.
