Draymond Green argues that his Warriors colleague, Ja Morant, should be named Most Improved Player
Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors is hoping that Jordan Poole will be considered for the “Most Improved Player” award this spring.
If you ask a lot of folks, they’ll tell you that Ja Morant is the overwhelming favorite to win the Most Improved Player award later this season. Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, on the other hand, isn’t having it.
Green believes that his Warriors colleague, Jordan Poole, should be the one to take home the trophy. Is there any chance that Green will win this case, or is it a foregone conclusion that Morant will?

Morant, a former Grizzlies first-round pick, has been outstanding for his squad this season. Morant has improved on his 19.1 point per game average from last season, scoring 27.4 points each night in 2021-22.
The high-flyer is in his third NBA season and made his first All-Star Game appearance in February. Again, the vast majority of basketball fans believe Morant is without a doubt the most improved player, and it’s difficult to disagree.
Poole has also been impressive this season. The Golden State shooting guard is averaging 18.4 points per game this season. He averaged 12 points per meeting last year. Poole has also been unstoppable from the line of scrimmage. He’s hitting 92.4 percent of his free throws.
Poole has been a key player for Golden State, and fans are hoping that the Warriors can embark on another deep postseason run and return to the NBA Finals. Morant has led Memphis to a 56-25 record, which puts them second in the Western Conference standings, behind the Suns but ahead of the Warriors in third place.
