In Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks’ regular-season finale on Sunday night, his calf was injured.
The regular-season finale between the Dallas Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs had NBA Playoff ramifications.
Dallas would capture the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference if they won and the Golden State Warriors lost to the New Orleans Pelicans. But, because of what transpired late in the game, that was pushed to the side.
Luka Doncic of the Mavericks gripped his left calf during the second half and asked for a timeout. According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, he was then escorted to the locker room by club director of player health and safety, Casey Smith.
The following is the play in which Doncic was injured:
Due to a left calf strain, the Mavericks have officially ruled Doncic out for the rest of the game. He will not play again.

According to the Mavericks, Luka Doncic’s calf injury isn’t significant
According to ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, sources have told ESPN that there is “early hope” that Doncic’s injury is minor.
Doncic scored 19 points on 8-of-18 shooting, dished out nine assists, and grabbed eight rebounds in over 28 minutes before exiting the game.
The Spurs were defeated 130-120 by the Mavericks. Despite the win, Dallas is seeded fourth because Golden State defeated New Orleans 128-107. In the first round of the playoffs, the Mavericks will meet the No. 5 Utah Jazz.
The fate of Doncic in the playoffs will be worth keeping an eye on in advance of the April 16 start date. If he misses time, Dallas’ prospects of making the playoffs would be severely harmed.
