After the post-credits scene in Love and Thunder, Marvel fans are excited for Phase 5

You’ll be grateful to the gods after Marvel’s most recent post-credits scene.

Through post-credits scenes, the Phase Four films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have done their fair share of teasing upcoming projects. In the first of Thor: Love and Thunder’s two after-credits scenes, Brett Goldstein, who was in the TV show Ted Lasso, played the Greek god Hercules for the first time.

If that seems familiar, it’s because Marvel used the same technique in two other recent MCU movies, introducing Harry Styles as Eros (also known as Starfox) in 2021’s Eternals and Charlize Theron as Clea in May’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

These credit scenes show that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is building the basis for Phase Five, which he just hinted at, even if some Phase Four films are still in the works, such as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

As Phase 4 draws to a close, he predicted that “people will start to realize where this next story is going” in the June 23 issue of Total Film.

Feige continued, “I believe there have already been numerous hints, at least to me, of the direction this entire tale is taking. But in the coming months, we’ll be a little clearer about it to lay out a strategy and give audiences who want to see the big picture a tiny bit more of the road map. “

Marvel Studios in 2022

Do these post-credits scenes ensure that Thor, Eternals, and Doctor Strange will have sequels? It is doable.

After all, Adam Warlock, who will undoubtedly be portrayed by Will Poulter in the group’s third movie next year, was hinted at in one of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 post-credits scenes. Maybe the MCU is getting ready for another Avengers-style team-up with both new and old faces.

Marvel’s Disney+ series have also done a fantastic job of establishing the franchise’s future. Key members of the Young Avengers team lineup, including Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop and Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel, have been introduced in shows like Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel.

The Thunderbolts, an antihero squad made up of John Walker/U.S. Agent, Yelena Belove from Black Widow, Baron Zemo from Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Daniel Brühl’s Yelena Belove, have been hinted at in other projects (Wyatt Russell).

Fans will keep staying in the theater until the end credits roll, or until Feige reveals more MCU secrets.
