Madison Cowan, a well-known celebrity chef, has been accused of failing to pay rent for several months by her landlord.

According to the lawsuit, Madison Cowan’s landlord claims she owes him $73,700 in unpaid rent as a result of her failure to pay her rent on time.

The chef’s landlord, Gus Sheha, claims that the chef, who was born in the United Kingdom, has not paid rent on his one-bedroom Boerum Hill apartment for the past 28 months, according to the New York Post.

Requests for comment from the chef, who is from the United Kingdom, have gone unanswered. Before joining the Culinary Council of the New York City Food Bank, the chef had appeared on the Food Network’s “Chopped” and “Iron Chef” shows. Cowan’s rent was between $2,700 and $2,750 a month for the two years he worked for the company.

Cowan’s landlord claims that he has not paid rent since January 2020, despite the fact that he and his family have been living in the house since October 2019.

Cowan has yet to respond to the allegations of wrongdoing leveled by the landlord. Claims that Cowan took advantage of New York’s pandemic-related eviction ban in order to get out of his apartment were said to be a way to “game the system.”

Is it possible that he’s so broke that he has to leave his house in a different fur every day? “According to the source, I would have taken him to court two years ago and obtained an eviction order if COVID-19 hadn’t existed.” “I would have taken him to court and obtained an eviction order if COVID-19 hadn’t been in place.”

Sheha’s counsel has served Cowan with a 90-day notice, instructing him to vacate the premises by May 1, as agreed in the agreement, as of the moratorium’s expiration on January 15, 2019. As far as the records go, Sheha hasn’t had any communication from his tenant because of this.

Cowan claimed that the epidemic had “negatively impacted” his “income and bottom line,” according to Herman Sheha, who last spoke with him around the beginning of August. Cowan’s representatives have yet to respond to Sheha’s request for comment. Cowan’s representatives have yet to respond to Sheha’s request for comment.
