Chris Pine’s Representative refuted claims that Harry Styles spit on him during the premiere

According to a Chris Pine representative, Harry Styles allegedly spit on Chris Pine as he was making his way to his seat at the “Don’t Worry Darling” premiere on Monday during the Venice Film Festival.

According to Pine’s representative, this is a ridiculous story that is entirely fictitious and the result of a strange web illusion that is clearly deceptive and encourages unwarranted curiosity.

“Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine,” the representative said. Any suggestion that these two men are anything other than in love is a clear attempt to create drama that does not exist.
Styles’ representative did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for clarification.

The incident erupted after a videotape from the screening led fans to believe that the “Wonder Woman” star, 42, had been spit upon by the “As It Was” singer, 28. The long-haired actor paused mid-clap and smiled into Styles’ lap before laughing, slightly surprised as Styles appeared to aim his saliva at Pine.

Fans have reason to believe that the alleged assault occurred because when the former member of One Direction sat down, he looked in all directions except at Pine.

The “Contractor” actor’s actions during the trip to the film festival became newsworthy after he was seen detaching while Styles addressed questions at a media briefing that their co-star Florence Pugh boycotted.

Spitgate may have resulted from the alleged feud between Pugh, 26, and director Olivia Wilde, in which some believed Pine had taken a side. However, it now appears that Pine does not care enough about the project to participate.

In a previous post, the actor was seen acting as a go-between for the film’s cast and crew, which included Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, and Olivia Wilde, on the red carpet and in the theater during the film’s Venice Film Festival premiere.
