At the Hulu premiere, Kim Kardashian gushed over Pete Davidson.
Romance with a sense of realism.
While Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have one of Hollywood’s most high-profile relationships, doing everyday things as a couple is what Kim values the most.
The 40-year-old highlighted why just being around the Saturday Night Live actor makes her grin during an interview on the April 11 broadcast of Making Space with Hoda Kotb.
“I was in the car with him yesterday and I simply looked at him and said, “‘Thank you,'” she recounted. “And he was like, ‘What?'” says the narrator.
“For running errands with me, like, this is so much fun just going to a doctor’s appointment or going to the dentist and just running errands,” I said. I’m having a great time.’
Kim told Today co-anchor Hoda Kotb that the unexpected part of their relationship makes it even more thrilling, admitting that it was the “last thing that I was really planning.”
“I believe that sometimes things happen when you least expect them,” she explained. And so, when it happened, we were like, ‘Oh, my God, I wasn’t expecting this.’ And this isn’t even close to what I had in mind. “
“It just makes it that much sweeter and so much more enjoyable,” she continued.
Following the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum’s debut on Saturday Night Live in October, Kim and Pete, 28, were first seen out together.
Kim, who divorced Kanye West in February 2021, said she would definitely take her before dating again.
Kim explained, “It took me like 10 months or something before I dated or talked to anyone.” And I just wanted the time to truly think about it and go through the motions of asking myself, “Am I making the correct decision?” What are my thoughts about this? “
So once I went through all of the motions, I was finally like, “OK, guys, I am so ready to meet someone,” she stated. And I did it at random. “
Despite her ex’s public appeals to win her back, the two became Instagram official in March.
“We all know someone who has gone through a really difficult time in their relationship and everyone has come out OK,” she explained.
So you just have to let go and open yourself up to receiving something and just be a good person and you’ll get it back, says the narrator.
Most recently, Pete most recently stood by Kim at the debut of Hulu’s Kardashians series on April 7. Despite the fact that they didn’t walk the red carpet together, the mother of four was overjoyed to have her partner by her side on the big night.
“He’s come to help me.” She told E! News, “It’s my thing,” before explaining why he didn’t attend the red carpet. I don’t think it’s his style to hang out with me all the time. So I’m really overjoyed that he’s here.
While Kim is gradually becoming more open about certain elements of her relationship with Pete on social media—including the comedian’s tattoo dedication to her and two PDA-filled photos on April 11—admirers shouldn’t anticipate an all-access pass to their romance.
Kim stated in her interview with Hoda that she intends to keep some parts of their relationship confidential.
She explained, “I do believe that I am holding some aspects of my connection with Pete a little bit closer to my heart.”
“It feels fantastic just to know that we have this connection and that we have our own little bubble of a relationship world that not many people are aware of,” she says.
