The Party at the Palace was a no-go for Adele and Harry Styles

According to reports, Adele and Harry Styles declined invites to play at Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee.

People said that the British superstars were asked to perform at the spectacular Party at the Palace show to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, but they both turned down the offer.

“They were told [Adele] couldn’t do it,” a source told The Daily Mail’s Eden Confidential section. Scheduling conflicts, or anything along those lines, were used as an excuse.

It came as a shock, especially because she had been given an MBE. After all, how many opportunities will there be to perform for the Queen in front of Buckingham Palace? “

“He was asked,” a person close to Harry, 28, told the publication. Because of his schedule, he was unable to participate.

While Adele, 34, and Harry were not there for the concert, a number of celebrities took to the stage outside Buckingham Palace to pay tribute to the Queen.

Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys, Duran Duran, Diana Ross, and Sam Ryder were among the artists who performed at the two-and-a-half-hour event.

In a pre-recorded clip, the Queen had a cup of tea and a marmalade sandwich in her handbag while chatting with Paddington Bear.

As the British band and Adam Lambert launched off the concert, the couple began tapping their teaspoons to the beat of Queen’s song “We Will Rock You.”
