Timothee Chalamet and Kid Cudi star in the sci-fi TV show Entergalactic

The Dune actor will appear in Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi’s animated Netflix series Entergalactic, which is characterized as “an explosion of art, music, and fashion” by the streamer.

According to Netflix, Timothée will portray pot dealer-turned-crypto dude Jimmy, who is “never without a joint and a book” and is “an oxymoronic, laid-back conspiracy theorist.”

Jimmy’s best buddy and former customer, Jabari (Mescudi), is at the center of Entergalactic. According to Netflix, the show follows Jabari, who, for the first time in his life, finds himself with a beautiful apartment and a terrific job. There’s only one thing missing: someone to adore.

Meadow, by Jessica Williams, comes into play here. She’s Jabari’s new neighbor, and she’s “not only the coolest chick at the party, she’s the realest,” according to Netflix.

The cast also includes Ty Dolla $ign, Vanessa Hudgens, Laura Harrier, Christopher Abbott, 070 Shake, Jaden Smith, Keith David, Teyana Taylor, Arturo Castro, and Macaulay Culkin.

There’s no official release date yet, but Kid Cudi’s accompanying album of the same name will be worth the wait. The rapper had planned to release the album in 2016, but it was postponed so he could focus on Man on the Moon III: The Chosen, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in 2020, according to Variety.

Entergalactic’s first teaser was unveiled as part of Netflix’s Geeked Week event, which spotlights all of the latest news regarding the streaming service’s shows and films. The 8th of June was Animation Day, when new trailers for programs like Entergalactic and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners were released.

Stranger Things Day is next on the agenda. The first volume of Season 4 will be talked about, and then the cast will play Dungeons and Dragons.
